The Stripe plugin for WooCommerce allows you to securely accept credit card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and more directly on your store. To process subscription payments with Stripe, you will need to install the Stripe plugin in WooCommerce. Follow the steps below to install and configure Stripe for your WooCommerce site.

Install Stripe

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin.

  2. Go to your WordPress admin dashboard.

  3. Navigate to Plugins > Add New.

  4. In the search bar, type WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway.

  5. Look for the plugin by WooCommerce.

  6. Click Install Now, then Activate once the installation is complete.

Connect & Configure Stripe to WooCommerce

  1. In the WordPress admin menu, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments.

  2. Click Enable/Complete Setup in the Stripe payment column.

  3. Click Create or connect an account.

  4. A secure Stripe window will open. Sign in to your Stripe account or create a new one.

  5. Complete the onboarding steps and authorize the connection.

Configuration

  1. Go to the Stripe plugin settings

  2. Go to the Payments & transactions section

  3. On the Payments settings:
    - Check "Enable saved payment methods"
    - Check SEPA-related settings if you intend to use SEPA-supported payment methods. For example, "Enable saved iDEAL for repeat payments".

  4. On the Transaction preferences:
    - Uncheck "Issue an authorization on checkout, and capture later".

Configure Stripe for WP Subscription

  1. Go to WP Subscription > Settings.

  2. Check Stripe Auto Renewal.

  3. Click Save changes.
