What Is “Synchronize Schedule”?
Synchronize Schedule is a setting available under the Delivery Settings section for both Simple and Variable Subscription Products. When enabled, it aligns all product deliveries to occur on the same calendar date, regardless of the date a customer subscribes.
Where to Find It
While editing a subscription product:
Scroll down to the Product data panel.
Select the Subscription tab (for Simple products) or open a Variation (for Variable products).
In the Delivery Settings section, you'll find:
Delivery Schedule
✅ Synchronize Schedule checkbox
What It Does
By default, delivery intervals are based on the subscriber’s purchase date.
Enabling “Synchronize Schedule” overrides this so that all customers receive the product or fulfillment on the same date.
Example Use Case:
You sell a monthly subscription that always ships on the 1st of the month.
Without synchronization:
A user who subscribes on May 18 gets their first box May 18, then June 18, etc. With synchronization:
Every user, regardless of signup date, receives the box on June 1, July 1, etc.
Do You Need It?
It depends on your business model:
You Should Use It If... | You Should Not Use It If... |
---|---|
You run a monthly or fixed-cycle physical product (e.g., Coffee delivery) | Your product is digital or instantly delivered |
You want all customers to receive the product at the same time | Each customer should have a personalized delivery schedule |
You batch ship or produce on set calendar days | Your operations support rolling or on-demand delivery |
Key Points
Synchronize Schedule only affects delivery, not billing or renewals.
Customers will still be billed based on when they subscribed unless manually adjusted.
Combine this feature with a “Delivery Schedule” interval to fully automate logistics.
🔄 This setting is especially useful for physical goods or fulfillment that requires fixed production timelines.
